Notes:
In honor of Women’s History Month, celebrated annually in March, the 2010 Women’s Lecture Series will begin on March 4, with a lecture on “Lesbian Ex-Lovers: The Really Long-term Relationships” by Esther Rothblum, PhD. The Women’s Lecture Series is a joint project of The San Diego LGBT Center and the Women’s Studies Department at San Diego State University. Lectures will take place March 4 and 18, and April 1 and 15; all lectures are free to attend, begin at 7pm and take place at The Center (3909 Centre St., Hillcrest). April 1 @7pm -- “Lesbians and Retirement in San Diego: Identifying their Needs”
Presented by Leslie Krill
This lecture will focus on Leslie Krill’s thesis project on lesbians and bisexual women in San Diego, age fifty through seventy, from various social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds. Krill will explore specific topics such as housing, health care, transportation, financial, and legal service needs.
