The Women's Discussion group provides a safe social and educational space for new or isolated community members to begin to experience decreased isolation, an increased sense of belonging, and an opportunity to share their struggles and victories. The David Bohnett Cyber Center is a 10-terminal computer lab adjacent to the Front Desk at The Center on Centre Street. The Hillcrest Youth Center (HYC) also houses a sister computer lab available for youth ages 14-20. New computers at HYC have been generously donated by the Waitt Family Foundation and the David Bohnett Foundation. Both labs provide free classes, mentoring, Internet access and use of the Microsoft Office Suite. Please call to verify hours of operation, there are times when the Cyber Center may be closed.

This discussion group often uses media clips, movies, and art projects to facilitate discussion about issues facing the transgender youth community. This group meets Friday evenings from 7-8 pm at the Hillcrest Youth Center.

Join us for this fun and relaxed art group. We get together and work on the daily project or work on our own. Artist Sabato Fiorello will lead the way as we explore different mediums. Allow 2 hours. FTMI Padraig Hall San Diego Chapter meets the 4th Wednesday of every month as a support and discussion group for those who though born female identify somewhere on the male spectrum, and for those who love them. FTM, gender queer, Transgender, Transexual male identified are all welcome. Group also offers support for partners, family, friends and allies.
Classes specifically address strengthening the immune system of HIV+ individuals. Makes immune system stronger,brings joy into life, increases mental and physical strength, teaches living in the moment, brings self-discipline and allows knowledge of the self. Instructor is Himanshu (Hari) Kapoor, he has been teaching yoga for 13 years in hospitals, Drug and Alcohol Rehab and Prison projects. He wishes to extend this knowledge as a means of achieving physical , mental and spirtiutal well-being and self-realization.

This new group for HIV+ men meets every Friday from 6:00 to 7:30pm at the main Center. It is a support and discussion group led by two trained facilitators. Members of the group who are interested are welcome to join other members in going out socially afterwards in Hillcrest. Group Room 3.
A play group for parents/caregivers with babies ages 0-24 months takes place every Friday from 9:30-11am at The Center, 3909 Centre St. No RSVP is required.
San Diego’s Transgender Coming Out Group meets every Monday evening from 7-8:30pm at The Center in Hillcrest. Our group supports transgender people in all stages of exploring one's gender identity. This group is for all people ages 18 and up, whether questioning or early transitioning.

"Yoga for Everyone" is a weekly free yoga class taught by instructor Tim Schultheis. This is a basic class where beginners will feel comfortable, but more advanced participants will be given options as well. Plenty of options to meet your specific needs and skill level. It's Yoga for All!

Adam Collings Explores an All-Inclusive History of California

On Tuesday, July 27 at 7 pm, join scholar and author Adam Collings for a special celebration of authentic gay heroes from early California history, as portrayed in California: West of the West, the first inclusive history ever scripted for our Golden State. Erased from the record no longer, discover what a significant role and profound influence real historic gay figures have played in establishing our shared cultural heritage as Californians. Collings will read from his book and lead a discussion on July 27 at 7pm in The Center’s library (3909 Centre St., San Diego, 92103). This event is free to attend and all are welcome.
